Knowing how to build a well balanced snack that will keep you full and satisfied as well as nourished can be difficult! Here's a tip to keep in mind to make the perfect snack combination:
Focus on whole grain carbohydrates that are fiber rich and protein packed. Kip’s granola bark packs 1 serving of whole grains per serving, 3 grams of fiber, and 5 grams of plant based protein all the while being top 8 allergen friendly and full of flavor. These Apple Nachos fit all the criteria for a well balanced snack, and Kip’s granola bark is the perfect addition!
APPLE NACHOS
*Can be made Top 8 Allergen Free*
Ingredients:
1 medium apple, thinly sliced
1-2 Tablespoons sunflower seed butter, pumpkin seed butter, soy butter, almond butter or other nut butter of choice
1 Tablespoon Kip’s Cinnamon Crunch Granola Bark, broken into pieces
Directions:
1. Thinly slice apple and place on a plate.
2. Melt almond butter or other nut butter of choice in a small bowl in the microwave for 30-45 seconds.
3. Drizzle almond butter over apple slices and top with broken granola bark pieces.
